  1. Extremely cute. Yesterday I cut out four Oliver & S Bubble Dresses, 6 Oliver & S Popover Sundresses & one Little Piggy Rag Doll. I have a mountain of small clothes to make! Most are gifts but a few are for Little M. At least they are small & don't take long!

  2. My lad no longer wants me to make his shorts, unless they have lots of pattern pieces. And he is far too old for prints now (12.5 years). Sigh!

Your Mr N's shorts are terrific.

    1. You may find there'll be a reversal in that trend five or six years down the track when it suddenly dawns on him that he can have truly individual gear, or even - if he must - stuff that looks RTW but is infinitely better made. That's what happened with my son (now 18).

  3. Lucky they are a simple make if you've got 10 more to make! I love check shorts for boys, so timeless

  4. I made these for my boys last summer and they loved them. They requested pockets for next year!

  6. Great fabric and pattern, they look like a really good cut for your son. I should be sewing shorts for my boys too, but I just seem to keep cutting out things for me!

  7. Very cute. 10 more? Holy cow! Good luck with that. I always have these intentions to do some production-line sewing and then bail part way through.
