I want to make something out of this pink and blue cotton print but I have no idea what. I have 1.5m and it is 150cm wide. Shift dress? Simplicity 2599 tank with asymmetrical pleats? Any ideas?
Finish
- Black ponti pencil skirt
- Black wideleg pants
- Doily skirt
- Freddie Vest
- Kimono Tee - Under Fire
- Vogue 8787 dress - black ponti
Excessive?

ooooo I'm excited for you! I love a good planning post and you are very good at following through with your plants.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the second last fabric - what is it?
The industrial looking one? It is a cotton border print that I picked up in Tokyo's Nippori fabric district. It's black up top. I think it's a print of an oil rig. My husband told me not to wear it around the hippies of Brunswick!! I quite like it though.
DeleteTypical. I always like something I can't get! I think once it's made up it won't look as industrial, unless people really study it. Ignore husband and happy sewing!
DeleteAmbitious!! But if you have time, great. Looks like a good plan. I love the navy with orange bird. How about making the Simp2599 into a dress?
ReplyDeleteI have a full dress in that navy bird print (Simplicity 2406). But it is sadly too big now. Good idea about the Simp2599 into a dress.
DeleteOoh lovely list. It's ambitious yes, but probably not excessive. After seeing how much of your autumn/winter list you managed to complete I wouldn't be surprised if you make all of these!
ReplyDeleteWow what a list but it is a good idea to plan for the wardrobe... I should do that so I've got some focus, as I'm new to sewing for myself. (been sewing for a while but never clothes for myself, just kids stuff and crafts etc.)
ReplyDeleteGreat plans, patterns and fabrics! I love the look of that oil rig fabric. I want to find something like that, maybe with a city skyline instead of oil rigs though.
ReplyDeleteYour fabrics are so pretty! I wish there were more fabric shops like that near me!
ReplyDeleteYour list looks good! I think you sew all that and more. :)
ReplyDeleteI have the exact same fabric (last photo), did you buy it from the Clegs remnant sale by any chance? I plan to make NL 6130 with it.
Good choice of pattern! I just keep thinking I want something very Veronika Maine or Cue. I will find something. I got it at Clegs but from the bolt ages ago.
DeleteNice! Can't wait to see the peplum top and the Rowley dress. You've got some cool fabric-pattern combos in that list.
ReplyDeleteYour fabrics are to die for.
ReplyDeleteLOVE that Liberty print for Lonsdale. I gasped with adoration.
ReplyDeletethat's a very nice programm! you got me so inspired I had to do the same, though I don't have enough fabric for my whole sewing plan..
