Sew: Grainline Tiny Pocket Tank

Another project from my to do pile. I'm almost done. It is embarrassing how long this top sat in my to do pile. Over 12 months! Not sure why I didn't hop to it earlier as it is perfect with my blue cardigan and denim. Nothing new to report. It is a straight size 14.

Love this simple pattern. It is perfect for using left over fabric and for layering.

Project Details
Pattern: Grainline Tiny Pocket Tank, size 14
Fabric: Emerging spots cotton voile from Tessuti

It was a beautiful afternoon in Melbourne. Rachel and I hung out in her backyard with the kids. Enjoying the sunshine and having a good chat.

I'm on a cutting out binge at the moment. 3 projects down, a few more to go before I fire up the machines over the weekend.

What's on your sewing table this weekend?

  1. This looks great and the fabric is perfect! I've just finished my Cami dress so I'll either work on my sequins sewing dare - or else pop to the fabric shop for a bit of inspiration :)

  2. Yes your top is perfect with the blue cardie and denim - I think we're all guilty of taking a long time to finish a project that turns out great like this one! As for me I'm hoping to rediscover my sewing skills and finish a skirt that's been doing my head in for the last two weeks!

  3. Great tank! I should take a page from your book and cut several projects so when I'm ready to sew, I can sew rather than think, decide, trace, cut, etc. I love to sew and make things, but I'm often wallowing in indecision and fail to start a project!

  4. Funnily enough this exact same top is just for me to finish the armholes and neckline later this morning! I've recently become a Grainline addict!

  5. This is such a summer staple. Loves it! Finishing off a work pencil skirt today and having a futz around with my shorts block so I can use some rad linen I bought yesterday!

  6. 'Tis the perfect summer-afternoon-playdate outfit. I really must get onto that pattern. Thanks for a great arvo again. Little M told me she didn't want her dinner.... she wanted more vegemite sandwiches with Mr N. Mr H was not mentioned.

  7. That does look great with your denim and cardi. I have too much on my to do pile, too much to mention! I find I get inspired by different things at various times and these persuade the project I choose to work on.

  9. Gorgeous ;) I'm contemplating a walking foot as I wrestle with my Bombshell & ignoring my dodgy bust dart on my 2nd Dandelion ;)

  10. This looks so lovely and summery. Cotton voile is one of my favourite fabrics - so easy to sew and to wear. Congratulations. Cheers, Karen
